Schaefer Outfitter's Fort Worth Heritage Wild Rag

Collaboration Goal:

Fort Worth is home to Schaefer Outfitter's flagship store, nestled in the Stockyards off of Exchange Street. The goal for this collaboration was then to design a wild rag that embodied all things Fort Worth, Texas, along with Schaefer Outfitter's history as a brand.

Creative Approach:

I chose to approach this design by creating a main scene of cowboys pushing longhorns across a field you might see at any point on the outskirts of Fort Worth. From there I created border elements using only two colors each. The elements of a guitar, cactus in bloom, and armadillo surrounded the main scene. Everything was originally produced using block printing, but for the final design I brought it into the computer and manipulated the layers into vectors.
