Twenty-five hand-pulled prints on 5"x3.5" cards mailed out across the country last year for the inaugural Christmas Card from an Artist.
This year, I'm at it again. The 2024 theme is a trip to Grandmother's house, which may conjure up thoughts of a winding dirt road ending with an old Cadillac out front or a quaint home in town with flowerbeds that still look good despite the cold. She might be making her famous cornbread stuffing or sneaking something out of the freezer that she got from the Schwan man — what year was it they stopped doing door to door sales?
What is Christmas Card from an Artist?
Simply put, it's a mystery holiday card featuring an original print snail mailed to you for the holidays.

How big is the card? 2023's card was an A1 3.5x5.
When will I get it? Cards are mailed out by December 15.
The Process
From now until Dec. 7, I'll be sketching up thumbnails, choosing the best design and beginning the processes of inking the block and hand-pulling each card through my etching press. If it sounds like a lot of work, it is! But, I get so much joy from creating a unique design for these cards and mailing them out to you. It's a reminder for me that this season is about generosity and community.
