Women's Work Art Show Partnership

Partnering with Charlotte Leyden-Volt of Colorado Horse Sale, I'll be creating art for the 2025 Women’s Work Art Show hosted by Cowgirl Artist of America at the A.R. Mitchell Museum of Western Art.

This art show is unique in that it brings women together to showcase art and their contributions to the Western industry. Since it spans a year from the official start of the process to the final show, I've broken it down into a timeline.

November 2024

I’ve hung out at many a horse sale ring, but this will be the first time I look at it from an artist's perspective.

In November, I traveled up to Castle Rock, Colorado, to hang out at the horse sale taking place at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. I snapped photos, spent time sketching and found inspiration everywhere I looked that weekend.
